Myrtle Grand Vacations Policies and Procedures
Summer Policy: Between June and August,
only weekly stays renting Saturday to Saturday are allowed.
Daily rentals are available BUT only if booked within 5 days
of the arrival date. Please call one of our Vacation Specialist
for booking and rate information at (877)280-8581.
September-May: The minimum stay and arrival/departure
dates may vary for this period depending upon Myrtle Grand
Vacations policy and individual property restrictions per
owners.
CHECK IN: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. or as soon as your
rental property has been cleaned or inspected. Please note
the check-in time of 3:00 p.m. may be extended for special
cleaning and maintenance. Please call for instructions on
late arrivals. No late check-ins will be granted until full
payment is received; we have a valid credit card on file,
a signed copy of the payment receipt and Policies and Procedures.
Please note that the minimum check-in age is 25. However,
we do have some beach houses and condos that rent to groups
and students and a security deposit may be required.
CHECK OUT: 10:00 a.m. or earlier. Please return keys to the
Myrtle Grand Vacations office. Sorry, no exceptions from June
- September as we must have time to clean and inspect all
properties for arriving guests. Late checkouts are subject
to a $50.00 per hour late fee. Tenant is responsible for cleaning
all dishes, emptying refrigerator, securing all doors and
windows and removing trash to the appropriate outdoor receptacles
upon departure. Please make sure all keys are returned to
the same office where you checked in.
PAYMENT INFORMATION: Once making a reservation, a prepayment
of 50% of the total amount is required to confirm a reservation.
Payment must be received in our office within 10 days or reservation
will be cancelled. The Policies & Procedures should be
read over closely, signed and returned to our office. If you
are renting for less than a full week, the full payment will
be requested at time of booking a reservation. For reservations
made more than 30 days prior to arrival, we accept personal
checks, money orders, certified funds or Visa, MasterCard
or Discover. For reservations made less than 30 days prior
to arrival, ONLY certified funds or Visa, MasterCard or Discover
are accepted and must be paid in full prior to arrival. No
personal checks accepted if arriving within 30 days. Remember
that your final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Accepted
forms of payment are in U.S. funds only.
UPON ARRIVAL: Please check your unit thoroughly upon arrival.
Every effort is made to see that your unit is cleaned and
ready for your arrival. The unit has been inspected for cleanliness,
damages and missing items so your unit should be ready for
your arrival. Please contact the office immediately (not at
departure) with any cleanliness or other issues with your
unit. The cleaning is basic cleaning and refunds will not
be made if cleaning is unsatisfactory to guest. Myrtle Grand
Vacations will send a housekeeping team ASAP to correct the
cleaning discrepancy. Every property is inspected prior to
check-in and after check-out and you may be billed if extraordinary
cleaning is required.
TAXES: All rental charges are subject to 12% sales/accommodations
tax.
PROCESSING FEE: A non refundable processing fee is required
on all reservations based on the size of the rental unit you
requested.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: No security deposit is required if the guest
presents a valid Visa/MasterCard/Discover card at check-in.
Debit cards may be used for payments but will not be accepted
as a valid credit card on file. If you do not have a valid
credit card on file, you will be required to pay a cash security
deposit to be determined by Myrtle Grand Vacations LLC depending
upon the condo or beach house rented. If cash deposit is required,
please allow up to thirty days after check-out date for return
of deposit. Some restrictions apply to Groups/Students rentals.
GROUPS & STUDENTS: We rent to families and responsible
adults ONLY. Please note that the minimum check-in age is
25. However, we do have some beach houses and condos that
rent to groups and students and a security deposit may be
required. Any violation of the Polices & Procedures
will result in termination of rental agreement without refund
of rental monies and security deposit at the sole discretion
of Myrtle Grand Vacations LLC.
PET POLICY: We have a few Pet Friendly properties. They require
a $150.00 non-refundable pet fee. Having a pet in a non-pet
friendly property is a violation and material breach of Myrtle
Grand Vacations Rental Policies & Procedures and is grounds
for eviction without refund and you will be charged $200.00
and any appropriate charge for damages, etc.
OTHER POLICIES: Fireworks and grilling on balconies are illegal
within city limits. No phone calls may be billed to the homeowner's
telephone. More than the occupancy in any unit is strictly
prohibited. ALL units are non-smoking units! If you violate
this non-smoking policy, you will be charged a $350.00 damage
fee to cover the cost of a special cleaning to deodorize and
rid the unit of smoke.
KEY CHARGES: For security reasons, there is a $100 charge
for lost or unreturned room keys to cover expense for changing
the locks. There will be a $100.00 charge for each lost swipe
card, exercise room, garage door opener or pool key/tag. There
will be a $75 charge at the renter's expense, payable in cash
at the time of service if you lock yourself out of the unit
and our staff needs to open the unit for you during non-business
hours. If a locksmith opens the unit at any time, the charge
will be determined by the locksmith and payable by the renter
at the time of service.
PARKING: Campers, trailers, boats and motorcycles are NOT
allowed at some locations. Parking is limited to two (2) cars
at all condominium locations. If you have special parking
needs, please contact our office for assistance. Park only
in designated areas with parking pass displayed at all times.
Myrtle Grand Vacations LLC will not be responsible for any
towing/damage charges as a result of improper parking.
LINENS: NO linens are provided unless linen service is requested;
bed linens and bath towels are provided at $25 PER bed. Linens
included are as follows: 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths, 1 hand
towel, 1 flat & 1 fitted sheet, 2 pillow cases PER bed.
If linens are damaged or missing, you will be charged for
the cost of the linens. You need to bring beach towels with
you, as no bath towels are to be taken from the unit for use
at the pools or on the beach.
SLEEPER SOFAS: We do not recommend sofa sleepers for adult
use. Children only.
DEPARTURE CLEANING SERVICE: Our Departure Cleaning Service
is provided to sanitize the unit for the next renters. Our
housekeeping staff will dust, vacuum, and sanitize the bathrooms
and kitchen. There is a short window to accomplish this before
the next check in and we would appreciate you leaving the
unit in a reasonably clean condition for our housekeeping
staff. Guests are responsible for removing trash and to return
property to good condition. There will be a $50 charge for
trash removal. Detailed check out instructions will be provided
at check in and/or located in each rental unit. Every property
is inspected prior to check-in and after check-out and you
may be billed if extraordinary cleaning is required. Housekeeping
may be called by Myrtle Grand Vacations LLC anytime during
stay at renter's expense if unit is not kept clean.
REFRIGERATORS: Many refrigerators are left open during cleaning.
It may take as long as twelve (12) hours before your food
will cool and the refrigerator returns to a medium temperature.
If you fill the refrigerator with warm groceries and continually
open the doors, it will take much longer than the twelve (12)
hours.
EQUIPMENT: Units are privately owned and furnished according
to the homeowner's taste. We cannot be held responsible for
appliance or equipment breakdowns/failures or for changes
by owners in furnishings or equipment. We will make all efforts
to have service restored as soon as possible if there is appliance
equipment failure. Tenant shall not be entitled to any refund
due to unfavorable weather, maintenance problems, area construction,
ready departure, or disruption of utility services (including
internet, phone and cable). NO refunds or credits will
be made for breakdowns/failures.
PLEASE NOTE: Property items (such as bedspreads, pillows,
chairs, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, etc.)
are NOT to be taken out of the property to the beach or to
other properties.
ITEMS NOT PROVIDED that you may wish to bring:
Hair Dryer, Laundry Soap, Paper Products (toilet paper, paper
towels, etc.), Plastic Trash Bags, Personal Toiletries, Dishwasher
Soap and any other personal items you may need.
LOST and FOUND: Myrtle Grand Vacations is NOT responsible
for any personal items left in any rental property. Items
found in properties that are not claimed within 14 days after
departure will be donated to local charities. There will be
a $25.00 service charge and COD fees will be required and
billed to your credit card on file if you request us to package
and return any items left behind.
LOCKED CLOSETS: Many homeowners have their personal items
locked in a closet for their convenience. These areas are
not included in any rental. Please do NOT attempt to open
these locked closets - they are for HOMEOWNER USE ONLY. If
you break into the closet, you will be charged for any repairs
as well as the missing items.
UNIT SOLD OR CANNOT BE OCCUPIED: In the event that a rental
unit cannot be occupied or is sold, Myrtle Grand Vacations
reserves the right to transfer reservations to a comparable
unit. Every effort will be made to contact customer prior
to arrival, however, we will not be responsible if customer
cannot be contacted. Tenant agrees to pay any difference in
rental amount. Tenant shall not be entitled to any refund
due to unfavorable weather, maintenance problems, area construction,
ready departure, or disruption of utility services (including
phone and cable), after occupancy.
GOLF CART: It is understood that our company, Myrtle Grand
Vacations, LLC, assumes no liability and will be held harmless
and not responsible for any accidents, injuries and/or damages
resulting from the use of a golf cart. You should also be
aware that South Carolina requires all operators of golf carts
to be a licensed driver. For more information regarding golf
car usage laws, please refer to the NMB Dept of Public Safety.
AMENITIES (pools, hot tubs, etc
): It is understood that
our company, Myrtle Grand Vacations, LLC, assumes no liability
and will be held harmless and not responsible for any accidents,
injuries and/or damages resulting from the use of amenities.
Also, please note that Myrtle Grand Vacations, LLC, only rents
out the unit and cannot be held responsible for any amenity
that is not functioning or out of order. We will make all
efforts to have the amenity restored as soon as possible.
Tenant shall not be entitled to any refund due to unfavorable
weather, maintenance problems, area construction, ready departure,
or disruption of any amenity. NO refunds or credits will
be made for an amenity which may not be functioning or out
of order.
ADDITIONAL RENTAL ITEMS: Items such as rollaway beds, port-a-cribs,
full-size cribs, etc. are available through various equipment
rental companies. Please note: This service is not a part
of Myrtle Grand Vacations and we cannot be responsible for
item condition or breakdown.
Myrtle Grand Vacations, LLC, as agent, or the Owner of the
individual unit rented shall not be liable for damage or injury
to tenant or to any other person, or to any property occurring
on the premises or any part thereof, or in common areas thereof,
and tenant agrees to hold Agent and Owner harmless for any
claims for damage, no matter how caused. Agent will not be
held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damage
to guest's personal property.
Myrtle Grand Vacations, LLC assumes no duty, liability or
responsibility of any kind in connection with my use of the
rental property, including but not limited to loss or damage
for fire, theft, vandalism, property damage, personal injury,
death, economic loss or other liability. I further agree to
release, hold harmless and indemnify Myrtle Grand Vacations,
LLC from any liability in connection with my use of the rental
property.
DISCLAIMER: Myrtle Grand Vacations reserves the right to correct
errors in pricing and descriptions of rental properties on
the website, any written documentation and all communications
to adjust pricing and charges at their discretion.
CANCELLATION & TRANSFER POLICY: Confirmed reservations
are not transferable. Confirmed reservations must be cancelled
by written notice via registered U.S. mail only. If your reservation
must be cancelled, for any reason; all money paid will be
forfeited unless the rental unit is re-rented for the entire
cancelled period and for the full rental amount. All refunds
are subject to a cancellation fee of $150. Myrtle Grand Vacations
LLC strongly recommends purchasing Travel Insurance to protect
your vacation investment against emergencies and mandatory
evacuations.
